Another year comes to an end !
And here we are, in the 4th quarter of 2024, so the ‘Christmas promotion’ is on. For every sulky you buy, you'll receive 2 extra sulkies as a gift. So, for example, for a purchase of 50 euros worth of sulkies, you'll immediately receive 10 million sulkies, and within a few seconds (paid separately), another 20 million, for a total of 30 million.
There is no extra mega-bonus by random draw this year, as last year I was again accused of ‘rigging’ the random draws. No, I'll say it again and again, the principle of chance is that it's not linked to anything other than chance (whether it's the genetic part based on chance, the starting order in the race chosen by chance, the sex of the foals chosen by chance, ...). When I say that something is the result of chance, it's true (mathematically because of the method used, and ethically because I never lie).
I've heard ‘rumours’ about the future of Sulkyland, to the effect that I want to close it soon. Once again, this is ridiculous, and it's being spread either by backbiters or by people who don't understand what I'm saying.
Just because I've stopped making changes to Sulkyland doesn't mean I'm going to close it down. The only reason I'd want to close it down is that it would cost me more than the cost of hosting it (which is €250/month). As you can imagine, that's a lot more than I'm earning. I've still got 8 years to work before I retire, so I'm pretty sure that Sulkyland will still be open for those 8 years.
And so, as I've already explained, it's actually no longer possible ‘technologically’ or ‘humanely’ to make changes to the current version of Sulkyland. Technologically, because the technology used for Sulkyland is obsolete now. Humanly, because I can't take the criticism any more whenever I try to modify something.
That's why technologically I'm working on a new version of Sulkyland based on modern technology. I first tried to make a ‘totally new’ version with World of Horses, but that was a dead end. So I'm working on a new version of Sulkyland itself (i.e. the same rules, and compatibility with existing data, but with a completely new interface), but it's taking a long time (I hope to be able to beta test this new version in mid-2025 if all goes well). And it's only when this new version is up and running and has been adopted by more than 90% of players that it will be possible to work on real changes to the rules (which I don't think will be before 2027).

I always get nervous when there are changes but a updated version of SL in a few years will be something to look forward to.in the future.

I just want to know where you are taking us all to retire, lol, there will always be those who whinge and whine about things like this game, it is par for the course Sulkymaster.
