External access to data known in technical terms as API access refers to anything that enables your data to be used in another programme: a spreadsheet, a specialised programme or artificial intelligence. I have updated the ‘Search for a record’ page, which is now called ‘Search and download’. It is from this page that you can retrieve the list of your horses, the entrants in a race, etc. (so this is no longer done via the ‘Export’ page, which no longer exists, nor via the ‘Export’ buttons on the race records). From this page, you can, for example, retrieve data on a horse (in JSON format, which is easily read by AI) and ask the AI to carry out a specific analysis of the horse’s career or its pedigree. You can also export the list of races you’ve created this month and ask the AI to advise you on the type of race you should create next. And so on. It’s your imagination and your ability to work with AI that will enable you to obtain new analyses. To prevent abuse, the number of requests you can make each month is limited, depending on your subscription (0 for non-subscribers). And to avoid comments along the lines of ‘I don’t know how to use this; it’s just going to give some people an advantage again’, I’d just like to point out that AI systems were already able to do this before – simply by browsing the site, they log into your account and then follow the links to obtain the information they need for their analysis. What I’m doing here is simply preventing AIs from overloading the server by ‘browsing the site’, so they now retrieve the data in a format that’s easier for the server to process. As an example of how this works, I gave an AI the competition rules, the race list and the standings table; within two minutes, it had reconstructed the rankings, spotted an error in the calculations and suggested ways to improve the competition. The exports are in English, as this is the reference language for the AI. I have updated the help section on this page for anyone who wants to understand how to use it properly. Please feel free to share your experiences on this topic with me, or any ideas you may have for improving it.

Does this mean can't download csv, if that's no longer possible I may be out as without Excel compatibility there's too much horse data to manage for breeding etc, in Excel I can quickly find the information I need, in game it takes too much time as the birth data isn't on the info screens etc
